My name is Ludvig Lindqvist and I’m a VFX artist from Sweden. I currently live and work in Frankfurt am Main, Germany.
As a Senior developer with over 10 years of experience, VFX Artist has been my main role during my career and I have so far shipped games using 5 different game engines. My responsibilities as a VFX artist have been to create complex effects for scripted events, cutscenes, weapons, abilities, explosions, sparks and smoke. I have also assisted in the development of new Particle engines in parallel to game development.
I usually describe myself as a healthy mix between being an Artist and a Technical Artist. I have great problem solving skills, a keen eye for detail, excellent timing, color and motion. My biggest strength – among others – is that I am quick and efficient in my work and I genuinely enjoy challenging tasks.
As an avid gamer who started playing video games at a young age and buying every Nintendo console I could get my hands on, my passion for online games didn’t start until I was in my early teens with Starcraft. The things all my favorite type of games have in common that they are online, multiplayer and competitive.
In addition to being a gamer, I also have a passion for computer graphics. The thing that sparked my interest in computer graphics was the movie Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within (2001). Naturally I was very keen to get a job in the games industry because of my interest in gaming.
